Why do I see a warning when I install?

Because this is a BETA release, the OS may show a confirmation message. On Windows, choose “More info” → “Run anyway”; on macOS, right-click → “Open” to proceed. → Download and install

Where is my data stored?

The data store you chose during initial setup holds the database (organizing info) and the library folder (the actual image and video files). You can check the location in Desktop settings. → Data store and backup

Do I need to back up?

Copy the database and the library folder and you can restore from them. We recommend backing up regularly. → Data store and backup

I can’t import videos or PDFs

Videos and GIFs need FFmpeg, and PDFs need Poppler. Check the detection status in settings. → Set up external tools

I can’t view from my phone or tablet

Check that sharing is on, the PC is running (not asleep), and that your PC and device are on the same network. → View from a phone or tablet

Is AutoTag required?

No. You can use manual tags, authors, and collections without it. Add it when you want to use “Find similar”. → AutoTag

Are my images ever sent externally?

No. Everything, including AutoTag analysis, stays on your PC, and nothing is used to train AI. → AutoTag

Can I use it commercially?

Yes, for your own use or use within your organization, including commercial use. Distributing, selling, or providing the built app to third parties requires separate permission. → License and usage

Is there a Linux version?

No. The Desktop app is Windows and macOS only. → Download and install

Can I still use the old Docker/CLI version?

It’s no longer updated. We recommend migrating to the Desktop app. → Migrate from the old Docker version

I can’t find a tag or author

Use “No tags only” and “No author only” in the filter panel to find stacks you haven’t organized yet. → Search and filter
