View in the viewer

Viewer basics: page navigation, zoom, the color picker, and the pen.

Click (tap) a thumbnail to open the viewer. For comics and variants, see View multiple pages; for videos, see Watch videos.

Basic controls

  • Turn pages — Swipe left or right, click the screen edges, or press . When you reach the end of a stack, you move to the next stack (this doesn’t happen in the Books category)
  • Move between stacks — Press Shift+ to go to the previous or next stack, or press and hold the left or right edge of the screen until a bar appears, then release to move to that neighboring stack
  • Zoom in and out — Pinch or scroll. While zoomed, drag to move the view, and double-tap to return to the original view
  • Close — Press Esc, or swipe down
  • Shuffle — Press s to jump to a random stack

Information panel

Press e to open and close it. Check and edit tags, authors, dominant colors, and stats, and change the media category here. For how to add tags and authors, see Set tags and authors.

Favorites, Likes, and bookmarks

From the viewer controls, you can add a stack to Favorites, Like a page, and bookmark a page. For when to use each, see Favorites and Likes.

Check a color (color picker)

  1. Hold Alt to switch to the color picker
  2. Click on the image to copy that color’s HEX value

The image’s dominant colors also appear in the information panel, and you can copy them from there too.

Draw with the pen

Draw temporarily on the current page. Useful for checking poses or reviewing roughs.

  1. Press n to enter pen mode
  2. Choose the pen or eraser, and adjust color, size, and opacity
  3. Draw. Press Cmd/Ctrl + Z to undo
  4. Press n again (or “Exit pen mode”) to leave

Your marks go on a separate layer, so the original image is unchanged. You can also adjust layer opacity and background fade, and show or hide each layer.
