Manage libraries
Create libraries, then set names, theme colors, password protection, defaults, and rebuilds.
Stacks, tags, and collections are all separated per library. Create as many libraries as you need, one per purpose.
Create a library
You create your first library during the Initial setup tutorial. The steps here are for creating additional libraries.
- Open Select a library from the library name in the sidebar.
- Choose Create Library.
- Set a name, emoji icon, and theme color, then create it.
The icon and theme color apply to the library’s whole appearance. You can change them later.
Switch libraries
Switch with Select a library from the library name at the top of the sidebar.
Change the name, icon, and theme color
Settings > Libraries shows a card for each library.
- Icon — click the icon and pick a new emoji
- Name — rewrite it with the edit button next to the name, then save
- Theme color — pick a color under Theme Color
Each card also shows the stack and item counts.
Set password protection
- Open the target library under Settings > Libraries.
- Press Enable under Password Protection and set a password.
A protected library asks for the password when you open it. If you combine it with sharing, see also View from a phone or tablet.
Set the default library
The library you mark with Set Default under Settings > Libraries opens at startup.
Full Refresh
Full Refresh under Settings > Libraries regenerates thumbnails, previews, color analysis, and AutoTags together.
- Open Full Refresh.
- Choose Incremental (recommended) or Force regenerate, then start.
Incremental covers only unprocessed items. It also helps when display glitches won’t clear up on their own.
Delete a library
Delete a library from its card under Settings > Libraries. Deleting a library permanently deletes all items inside it. This can’t be undone.
