The interface

The names of the sidebar, header, panels, and viewer.

The Caramel Board screen is made up of the header at the top, the sidebar on the left, and a content area that changes with the page.

On every screen

  • Header — the sidebar toggle button at the left edge, with pinned pages lined up in the center. The tool buttons on the right change with the current screen (Filter, Reorder mode, and Selection mode on list pages; the information panel, the pen, and more in the viewer)
  • Sidebar — switch libraries and jump to Overview, Favorites, Likes, Media Types, Tags, Authors, Collections, Scratch, and more. Settings lives here too
  • Information panel — view and edit a stack’s tags, author, dominant colors, and stats. It opens from both list pages and the viewer

List page

The page of stack thumbnails (the thumbnail grid) shown when you open Overview, Favorites, a tag, a collection, and so on. Click (or tap) a thumbnail to open the viewer.

The filter panel, opened with “Filter” in the header, narrows the list down by tags, authors, colors, and more. For how to use it, see Search and filter.

Viewer

The page that shows a stack. For page navigation, zoom, the color picker, and the pen, see View in the viewer. For comics and variants, see View multiple pages. For videos, see Watch videos.

Settings

From Settings in the sidebar, open general settings and the management pages for libraries, tags, AutoTags, authors, and pins. The screen layout is the same as everywhere else.

Next, try importing some media. Import images, videos, and PDFs
